Our Human Cognition Project Application Now Has Rolling Deadlines

Are you a researcher interested in cognitive training? The Human Cognition Project (HCP) application now has a rolling deadline; apply now!

We welcome thoughtful, forward-thinking proposals from researchers worldwide and will screen each application for rigor, feasibility, and the potential for the proposed study to move scientific understanding of cognitive training forward. If your application is successful, we’ll provide you with the Lumosity tools best-suited to your research, from free access to our training program and assessments to access to select de-identified data.

What is the HCP?

Started in 2012 by Lumos Labs’ Science team, the HCP is a research network that has partnered with hundreds of researchers around the world. Cognitive training is a relatively new field, ripe with potential for new insights and research, and we founded the HCP with the goal of facilitating more efficient and comprehensive studies of human cognition and cognitive training.

We provide our collaborators with tools and services tailored to the specific needs of their research. These include free access to the Lumosity training program and online assessments, or access to select anonymized and longitudinal data, or a combination of both. Additionally, our team will provide guidance on study design, data analysis, secure data storage, and regular delivery of de-identified data as necessary.

Traditional research is often time- and cost-intensive. By arming our collaborators with our online tools, we hope to reduce these constraints and, in turn, foster greater innovation and more high-powered studies.

Our current research collaborators come from close to 60 different institutions involved in more than 50 ongoing studies. Some of the topics our collaborators are currently investigating include normal aging, certain clinical conditions, and the relationship between physical exercise and Lumosity training.
